Operation Barbarossa

22nd June 1941

Over 4.5 million troops of the Axis powers invaded the USSR along an 1,800 mile front. The planning for operation Barbarossa took several years prior to June 1941; the clandestine preparations and the military operation itself lasted almost a year, from the Spring of 1941, through the Winter of 1941.

The South East Airshow
AS Enterprises and Heritage Events bring this incredibly popular airshow back to Manston Airport after many years absence.
The show which ran from the 2nd World War now returns in June 2013, with an impressive list of aircraft some of which will be on the ground for an even closer view.
The world-famous delta wing Vulcan Bomber aircraft will be at the show for what could be it`s last-ever year of flying displays. The Vulcan and many other aircraft will be on the ground for an even closer view.
A range of displays and famous aircraft from the RAF and air forces in Holland, Belgium and the United States of America, including the Red Arrows, the Falcons, the massive C5 transporter, and the single-seater A10 fighter jet.
