WWII: Battle of Kohima
4th April 1944The Battle of Kohima was the turning point of the Japanese offensive into India in 1944. The battle was fought from 4th April to 22nd June around the town of Kohima in northeast India, and is often referred to as the "Stalingrad of the East".
