WWI: The Red Baron shoots down his 79th and 80th victims
20th April 1918Manfred von Richthofen, aka The Red Baron, shoots down his 79th and 80th victims marking his final victories before his death the following day. Manfred von Richthofen was the most successful flying ace during World War I, being officially credited with 80 confirmed air combat victories. He served in the Imperial German Army Air Service.
