The new five-part series marks the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and the British troops' arrival in Helmand. Kemp joins the Royal Marines of 45 Commando, covering 6 months during which time he looks at bin Laden's legacy, meets warlords and tribal elders, and goes out on patrol.
He looks at why the British troops went into Afghanistan and some of their early mistakes, as well as examining how much the situation on the ground has changed.
