Gareth Malone's choir of military wives has become the bookies' favourite for the Christmas number one single spot, edging ahead of the X Factor winner, with their song Wherever You Are.
The ensemble was put together from the wives of serving military personnel, and went on to perform at this year's Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall.
They have performed on ITV's This Morning, Downing Street and BBC Breakfast among others, and will be appearing on the Sunday results show for the Strictly Come Dancing semi-finals.
The choir has been backed by public figures such as Radio 2's Chris Evans, and an ongoing Twitter campaign is giving them a boost. The YouTube video has had well over 200,000 hits so far.
The single will officially be released on 19 December but can be pre-ordered now from Amazon and iTunes.
