It is your last chance to visit the 1940s House, at the heart of The Children's War exhibition, at the Imperial War Museum as it is due to close on 2 January 2012. For its final few weeks, the house is decorated for a traditional family Christmas.

Step back in time to 1945 and imagine the scene; the first family Christmas in five long years, complete with Christmas music on the wireless and Christmassy smells from the kitchen.

Entry to the museum is free, visit before 2 January to experience the 1940s House. For more information see www.iwm.org.uk.
