At the start of 2011, Manchester businessman Ben Lambert, pledged to raise £10,000 for Help for Heroes by undertaking 21 gruelling challenges in 21 months, including various marathons and the National 3 Peaks Challenge, culminating in climbing 19,347 ft Cotopaxi Volcano in Ecuador.
He will undertake his latest challenge on Saturday, 17 December: a 26.2 mile marathon on a treadmill in the Grand Entrance of The Midland Hotel, Manchester. Ben will be joined by family and friends armed with collection tins, and mince pies will be served for passersby who wish to cheer Ben on.
Ben has been inspired by his younger brother, Marine Commando Nick Lambert. His determination and dedication have earned him a significant following on Facebook and Twitter.
