The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery rode through St John's Wood for the final time today, supported by hundreds of residents and shopkeepers keen to pay their respects to the military unit which has been their neighbour for over 60 years.
The Troop is due to move into its new home in February, Napier Lines – a purpose-built equestrian training facility and accommodation centre in Woolwich Garrison – and will ride through the streets of Woolwich on the morning of 7 February as it officially rides into its new home.
