As part of the 2012 Churchill Lecture Series, the Churchill War Rooms are hosting Churchill and Photo Intelligence on Tuesday, 13 March, 6.30–9.00pm.
Taylor Downing, author of Battle Stations, will talk about RAF Medmenham in April 1941, when a group of academics, boffins and eccentrics supported by Winston Churchill started to work in secret on photo intelligence.
Using remarkable examples of aerial photographs, Taylor Downing will explore Churchill’s support for the secret world of photo intelligence.
