HMS Argyll the Royal Navy frigate, has left Beirut after a three-day visit, which marks the end of her deployment to the Middle East.

This visit was the first by a British ship to Lebanon since November 2006, underlining Britain's continued commitment to supporting Lebanon's stability and enhancing the relationship with the Lebanese Armed Forces.

The frigate carried out a short exercise at sea with the Lebanese navy and hosted Lebanese military personnel. The crew also took part in a football match against the Lebanese Navy and a charity fun run with Lebanese school students organized by the British embassy in Beirut.
