On Saturday, 19 May 2012 the Allied Special Forces Association will be unveiling a brass plaque in the Sun Room in Memorial Grove to commemorate the Soldiers of 22 SAS and supporting Special Forces personnel who lost their lives in the Falklands War 30 years ago.

The plaque has been donated to the Grove by the Newport Parachute Regiment Association and will be fixed inside the Sun Room facing down 'Goose Green' to the Falklands Fighting Islanders Orchard and trees.

The Orchard – which will eventually be dedicated to courage and tenacity of Terry Peck, Trudy McPhee and all those who led the first British Resistance Force since the Second World War – was donated by John Worle of Herefordshire.
