Today, 25 April, marks ANZAC Day, when ceremonies are held to acknowledge the service of veterans from Australia and New Zealand, on the day that the ill-fated landing of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps took place at Gallipoli, Turkey, in 1915.
London ANZAC Day events started with a 5.00 am Dawn Service at Hyde Park Corner. A wreath laying service at The Cenotaph, Whitehall will be held at 11.00 am, followed by a Commemorative Service at 12.00 noon in Westminster Abbey.
For those without tickets who wish to attend the service, some tickets may be available if you present yourself with a valid photo ID to an AHC staff member at the Abbey before 11.30 am.
