The Olympic Flame is due to arrive at Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Culdrose tonight. It will be transported from there to Land's End – the start of the UK Torch Relay – in a Sea King helicopter.

The Olympic Flame is due to arrive from Athens tonight, on board a gold-liveried British AIrways aircraft from Athens. Tomorrow, 771 Naval Air Squadron will fly the Flame to Land's End. Upon arrival there, one of the Sea King's four aircrew will carry the Olympic Flame to the point where the momentous London 2012 Torch Relay will begin.

The Olympic Flame will travel 8,000 miles across the UK, with 8,000 Torchbearers passing the Flame from torch to torch until it reaches the Olympic Stadium on the evening of 27 July.
