Renowned First World War author Richard Van Emden (Britain's Last Tommies, Famous) is topping Amazon's Bestsellers in World War 1 Biographies chart with the Kindle version of his latest work for Pen and Sword Books: Last Man Standing - Norman Collins. The Memoirs of a Seaforth Highlander During the Great War, currently available for Kindle for only £1.23.

Last Man Standing uses Norman Collins' own words to tell his story, from his childhood in Hartlepool to his subsequent service in France where, at just 19 years of age, he led a platoon of men into the carnage of the Battle of the Somme. The book contains many never-before-published photographs taken at or near the front by Norman himself.

Last Man Standing (Kindle edition) is currently available from Amazon for only £1.23, but is also available in paperback direct from the publisher.

Norman Collins, the author of this superb memoir, was this remarkable man.
