In commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the heroic Dambuster Raid by 617 Squadron on the night of 16 May 1943, renowned toy soldier company W Britain have unveiled a limited edition piece.
Item B25017 contains a set of scale figures based around the famous photograph of Wing Commander Guy Gibson and his crew boarding their Avro Lancaster, ED932, on the night of the raid. Each figure is hand sculpted before being hand cast to create a lifelike figure which is then individually hand-painted to ensure a high level of attention to detail.
The Dambusters set forms the cornerstone of W Britain's new range of RAF figures, to be released throughout 2013 and 2014, including B25019 which depicts a 1943 fighter pilot with his dog, and B25022, a stunning tribute to Air Marshall Sir Arthur 'Bomber' Harris.
Set B25017 is available to pre-order now from W Britain retail stockists, and will be released in late-June 2013, B25019 and B25022 will be available from August 2013.
