Princes William and Harry joined members of the armed forces relief effort in the flood-hit town of Dachet in Berkshire this morning.
The princes donned waterproofs and wellingtons and worked from 6.00am, helping to bring in the supply of sandbags. Kensington Palace said of the princes:
'They wanted to show their support for the flood victims and have joined the armed forces relief effort.'
At one point, when questioned by reporters, William suggested to one cameraman,
'Well you could come and help instead of carrying cameras round'.
Members from all services have been working hard to assist those affected by recent flooding.
