The award-winning Michael Beetham Conservation Centre at the RAF Museum Cosford will be holding an Open Week from 14-19 November. Admission will be free and a range of aircraft and other artefacts currently undergoing restoration will be on display daily from 10.15 – 1.00pm.
The Vickers Wellington bomber, the Centre's largest project, will be a highlight of Open Week, during which visitors will gain exclusive behind-the-scenes access to aircraft conservation work and have a rare opportunity to speak with skilled technicians and apprentices, and view the projects they are currently undertaking.
